You are using a
configs/local_config.php
file rather than the default mechanism for setting up a WORK_DIRECTORY.
It doesn't look like you have set it up correctly as there does not appear to be a work
directory listed. As I don't have access to your machine I can't look at this for you, but
it needs to be fixed before you can add machines.

That looks like the correct set of steps. Maybe do a fresh clone and tell me how far you get in that sequence before things break?
